The Executive Co-Chairs provide guidance and support to the entire organization. Their duties include being liaisons with Committee Co-chairs, clarifying and refining decisions that will be passed to the entire Board of Directors for approval, lead Board meetings, hold quarterly Co-Chair committee meetings, provide support where needed throughout the entire organization as ex-officio members of all committees, develop fundraising procedures, network with other organizations, and consult with advisors, when necessary.

The Secretary keeps minutes of the proceedings of the Annual Membership and the Board of Directors meetings; sees that all notices are given to Board members; which include producing voting ballots when appropriate; and performing duties of the office of Secretary, as well as providing assistance where needed from the Board of Directors.

The Treasurer is the chief financial officer of IEATA and responsible for the supervision of all funds and financial properties of the organization.

The Treasurer oversees and/or designates maintenance of proper records of all expenses, calculates and files necessary income tax forms, and works with the financial budget. The

Treasurer works with a support committee appointed by the Board, named the Finance Committee, to draw up budgets, collect and refund receipts of committees, and pays operational expenses.

IEATA is seeking a current member who has financial and/or bookkeeping experience. This position will be opening in March/ 2005. If you are interested, please contact the Acting Interim Treasurer.

Advisors provide guidance to the Executive Board and Board Members on sensitive issues that require historical reference and/or expertise.

An Advisor has served as an Executive Co-Chair for at least one term.
